This year marks an important milestone for our organization. The North Bay Symphony Society is celebrating 50 years of bringing live orchestral music and education to our community. It is a moment to recognize what we have built and to focus on what comes next.

For five decades, the Society has brought musicians, audiences, and community partners together through live performances and educational outreach. What began as a small group of music enthusiasts has grown into a cornerstone of North Bay’s artistic culture, with both the Symphony Orchestra and now the Near North Voices choir.

But we need your help.

Like many charities, we are not immune to increasing cost pressures. At the same time, we remain staunchly committed to keeping performances accessible and affordable to our community. And we are a people-first organization that believes in recognizing the value of talented musicians.

To continue building on what we have achieved, and to prepare us for the next 50 years, we have set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 this year and $50,000 next year. These funds will allow us to sustain the quality of our performances, expand our educational outreach, and ensure that music remains a foundational element of our local culture.
