How to purchase tickets

SINGLE TICKETS for all performances can be bought online through the Capitol Centre website by visiting www.capitolcentre.org and choosing any

of the North Bay Symphony performances.

 

SERIES SUBSCRIPTION TICKETS must be purchased through the Box Office (not online) by calling 705-474-4747 or visiting in person at 150 Main Street East. The Box Office is normally open Tuesdays to Fridays from 12pm to 4pm. If you call and leave a message, one of the Assistants will get back to you.

- All ticket prices include HST and are subject to Box Office handling and carrying charges.

- CHILDREN 10 & UNDER ARE ADMITTED FREE with a corresponding Adult or Student ticket purchase.

The NBSO opens the 2024-25 season with a concert of beautifully reflective music. Violist Jacob Clewell joins the orchestra for a performance of Elgar’s meditative Cello Concerto, arranged for viola. Also featuring Canadian composer Kevin Lau’s Remembrance–themed work, A Dream of Dawn, Copland’s Famous Fanfare for the Common Man, and Vaughan Williams’ stunning Norfolk Rhapsody no. 1.

MEET THE ORCHESTRA: AN NBSO FAMILY CONCERT

The talent of the NBSO is on full display in this fun-filled, family-themed event. Music Director Josh Wood curates a journey through the different sections of the orchestra and music of all styles and genres. You’ll hear excerpts from the famous overtures to William Tell and The Marriage of Figaro, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, Florence Price’s Adoration, Mancini’s The Pink Panther, and much more. Families (and especially children) will have the opportunity to experience the instruments up close in
a post-concert instrumental “petting zoo.”

Acclaimed violinist and Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Thomas Cosbey joins the NBSO
in Bruch’s richly dramatic Violin Concerto no. 1. Three vastly different but equally spectacular prelude-themed works round out this concert: Dukas’ Fanfare pour précéder la Péri, Wagner’s Prelude to Die Meistersinger and Liszt’s Les Preludes.
